OST Homecoming
We invite you to join us for a coffee or a juice on the first day of classes. Stick around to chat while your child is in class, or simply drop by for a hello.
Still not sure if OST is a good fit for you? Come and take a look around! A member of our leadership team will be there all day to answer any questions you have.
When: Saturday, September 12, 10am to 2 pm

Beechwood’s Annual Living Library

Attendees will receive a map to explore the cemetery at their leisure, visiting stations where actors will portray these remarkable individuals at their graveside. Arrive before 3:00 PM to fully enjoy this historical journey.
When: Sunday, September 13 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Where: Beechwood Cemetery- Starting location is the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave

We want your stories!
The Ottawa School of Theatre wants your stories!
We’re putting together a book about the little theatre school that could (and did): OST. An important part of this project is getting your stories. All kinds of them. On stage. Backstage. In class. At Beechwood, or the Teddy Bear picnic. Anything OST-related. Tell us about your achievements, past nightmares, future dreams, whatever you like.
It could be a story about how you overcame your stage fright, but it could also be a story about how terrified you are every time you step on stage. It could be about how you made a friend because of theatre. It could be about your favourite (or least favourite) role. The first time you sang on stage. Or how you had to keep a scene going once while dealing with some onstage wardrobe malfunction. Has being involved with theatre taught you anything about yourself? Has it taught you about others? Maybe just a funny story about a time when things went wrong (or when they went right)? Maybe it’s some superstition you have, or your most memorable moment at OST. Do you dedicate your shows to someone? They can be as short or as long as it takes to tell a story. Fifty words? Sure. One hundred? Okay. Five hundred? Yup. A thousand? Well, probably not. But write it anyway.
Also, if you have a favourite photo of you from your time at OST (or one that illustrates your story), please send that along, too. Send everything to Bruce Deachman at bruce@ost-eto.ca.
