Drama Play – Ages 4-5
Come play with us! Our littlest students will have fun being creative, playing games, taking turns, and sharing ideas in this class that introduces them to acting and storytelling. Each Drama Play session is 8 weeks long and ends with a chance to shine in a studio presentation for family and friends.
Creative Drama – Age 6
*Or 5 years old with prerequisite
In this fun introductory course, students will learn the basics of creating a character and telling a story through games, improvisation, and speech and movement work. Students are encouraged to express their creativity, take turns, and build confidence sharing their ideas, learning to work as a team. Working together from September to June, students will create a stage play for the Student Showcase in May in the Richcraft Theatre.
This class is for 6 year olds, or 5 year olds who have completed two 8-week sessions of our Drama Play (previously called Preschool Drama) classes.
Story Drama – Age 7-8
Our Story Drama class teaches acting and performance skills and teamwork, while deepening students’ understanding of stories and plot. Through improvisation, games, and speech and movement work, students will work together as an ensemble from September to June to create and stage a play for the Student Showcase in May in the Richcraft Theatre.
Young Musical – Age 6-8
Designed for children discovering musical theatre for the first time, this class focuses on acting skills, group singing, and basic dance and movement. Enthusiasm, commitment, and team spirit are necessary to participate in this class. Students will work together from September to June, leading to a musical presentation in the OST Student Showcase in May in the Richcraft Theatre.
March Break Camp – Age 6-8

Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm (pre/post-care: available from 8 to 9 am and 4 to 5 pm)
Join Ottawa School of Theatre for an exciting week of theatre magic! Theatre study builds character, fosters teamwork, creative thinking and self-confidence! OST day-campers get the chance to put on a show and ACT on stage just like the PROS!
