If you know, you know — our All Ages Plays are just about the most fun you can have at OST. This unique production class is for (you guessed it) all ages, and is a great expereince for families and anyone looking for the full stage experience! This pre-professional experience culminates in a full stage production. Learn about theatre – character development, stage business, voice, and movement – with a focus on multigenerational collaboration and fun!
All who sign up for the All Ages Play are guaranteed a role. Auditions are held after registration to determine what role each participant is assigned. Some roles are bigger than others, and all roles are important.
The Island of Lost Memories: A Starnes & Strauss Christmas Mystery (Heist)

As the holidays approach, private investigators Starnes and Strauss receive a new client who has lost all her memories. Except, she insists that they aren’t lost – they’ve been stolen. Join this cast of spectacular animal characters as they uncover a strange mystery – and aim to set things right with a Christmas heist.
AUDITIONS: Individual by appointment. Participants register for the All Ages Play through our registration software, and are contacted in August to set audition times.
GROUP AUDITION: Saturday, August 24, 2024
Rehearsals: Thursday evenings and Sunday daytimes from Sept 15 to Nov. 24, 2024; amount of rehearsal time depends on role, schedules to be announced.
Tech rehearsals and show dates: November 26-December 1, 2024
Participants MUST be available during this period for dress rehearsal and shows.
Fee: $60 for current students and family members of current OST students (A current student is a student registered in a regular 2024-25 OST class excluding All Ages plays)
$245 for non-current OST students
$60 for each additional family member of non-current OST students

To mark the 20th Anniversary of OST’s All Ages Plays, we’ve invited the creator of these plays and past OST Artistic Director Kathi Langston back to direct this Canadian classic on the Harold Shenkman Hall stage! Join the tale of Anne Shirley, adapted from the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, as she arrives in Prince Edward Island as an unwanted orphan and finds a true home, while bringing joy and beauty to those around her.
